This is a bit of a random stab in the dark to see if there are any like minded people out there.
Basically, we/all of the bands on this blog are based in west London (Hammersmith specifically) where there is absolutely nowhere for bands of a punky/heavyish/noisey/alternative nature to play.
This means that we always have to travel halfway across London to play or watch any descent gigs and we were thinking, there MUST be people who like good music in west London musn’t there?
And if so then why are we all traversing the capital to watch gigs when we could just be putting on some DIY shows around here?
So, if you know any bars/basements/abandoned abattoirs etc. where we can put a show on, or you’re in a band which fits the above vague style based in west London, or if you’re a fan of the above vague style of music who lives in the area who just thinks this is a good idea, then EMAIL US AT CAMPBASSEIN@OUTLOOK.COM and lets get some fucking DIY shows together in this dreadfully unfasionable area of London yeah.
(And help us prove we’re not being horribly naive and optimistic)
A grumpy looking Cassels from last night at The Shacklewell.
There’ll be free CD’s at their gig at The Art Bar, Oxford on Wednesday so come along why dontcha
Cassels play The Shacklewell Arms Friday with Escapists and Holy Esque.

Cassels play Queen Of Hoxton tomorrow
Doors at 8, get down early cus it gets rammed early apparently.
Cassels play The Old Blue Last tomorrow night - on at about 8.15ish, pretty early but it’ll be worth coming we promise.
If you haven’t see their latest video yet watch it above, The Sound Of Confusion said it’s 'the year's best video so far, and one that might not be beaten'
Download the song for free if you want too
Cassels’ gig on Tuesday at The Old Blue Last is one of London In Stereo’s recommended for next week.
They’re on at about 8.15ish. It’s free for christ’s sake so no excuses.
